Club Wyndham Avenue Plaza, New Orleans

Avenue Plaza has a fantastic location right on St. Charles, making it super easy to hop on the streetcar to explore the city. The rooms are clean and have a nice kitchenette for doing some light cooking, but some areas feel a bit dated. The staff was mostly friendly, although there were a couple of instances of pushiness regarding a sales presentation. Overall, it provides a decent stay, but I did experience some hassle with the customer service on a few occasions.

While the hotel is conveniently located on the St. Charles streetcar line, making it easy to explore the French Quarter and Garden District, the overall service was quite disappointing. I faced an overwhelming timeshare sales tactic during check-in that significantly delayed my arrival. The suite was adequately equipped but lacked comfortable seating, and the Wi-Fi was often unreliable. On the positive side, the heated swimming pool and spa area were fantastic, and I enjoyed their complimentary wine and cheese offered in the evening.
